Advaitesha founded a non-profit organisation, Ujaas, at the age of 17

Thus, it is completely understandable how Advaitesha is interested in working for the masses and making the world around her a better place to live. From a very young age, Advaitesha strongly believed in women empowerment and gender equality. It seems that the inspiration behind the same came from her mother, Neerja Birla, who is also a leader and a strong advocate for education, fitness, and mental health in India. Henceforth, having realised the realities of age-old menstrual stigmas and outdated practices in the lives of countless women, Advaitesha founded her own non-profit organisation, Ujaas, under the Aditya Birla Education Trust (Abet) in December 2021. She was merely 17 years old at that time.

Under her mother's guidance, Advaitesha set up the social enterprise, Ujaas, which is an initiative dedicated to reduce period poverty and empowering adolescent girls and women to adopt effective menstrual health and hygiene management practices. Once, talking about her vision behind such an initiative with Hello India magazine, Advaitesha said:

“It all began by recognising that there’s still so much stigma around menstrual health, which is a very normal, biological process. You see it even in our own circles amid well-educated people. We conduct a lot of awareness sessions, primarily working in rural India at the grassroots level, educating young women, but not restricting it to them. Reaching out to their families, educating boys as well... that’s a big part of conquering the stigma. There’s a long way to go, but we’ve been working hard and have covered a lot of ground already.”

Advaitesha Birla was one of the debutants at Le Ball 2023 at the age of 19

In 2023, Advaitesha was invited as one of India’s debutantes at the grand Le Bal des. Earlier, from India, Isha Ambani, Ashna Mehta, Princess Adishree Singh, Princess Gauravi Kumari, and many others were invited to attend the ball in Paris. Le Bal raised money for two charities that year, including Necker-Enfants Malades, the world’s first children’s hospital aiming to improve the quality of care for children with heart defects and World Central Kitchen, which provides meals during crises in different parts of the world.

Addressing the proud moment for the Birla family as Advaitesha graced the eminent Le Bal, her mother, Neerja, said to Harpes Bazar magazine, “She (Advaitesha) looked gorgeous. She made us feel very proud. I felt overwhelmed and emotional looking at her all grown up, but she looked amazing." Adding to her mother, Advaitesha also opened up about the same in conversation with the magazine, and shared:

“The fact that I was chosen to represent my country is something I will always hold very close to my heart."

Advaitesha Birla caught the attention with her Rs. 5 crore worth necklace at Le Ball 2023

For the event, Advaitesha wore a custom red-hued sequinned Sabyasachi gown featuring a classic fish-cut silhouette and a trail. She paired her outfit with an exquisite diamond set from Le Bal’s jewellery partner, VMuse. The piece of jewellery dates back to the 1770s and came with a lot of historical significance. It was worth Rs. 5 crores, as per reports. Moreover, according to jewellery enthusiast, Jewels With Jule, the Duke of Berry Charles Ferdinand first owned Advaitesha's diamond neckpiece.
