Surbhi Jyoti's Wedding With Her Alleged Beau, Sumit Suri Postponed? Here's What A Source Has To Say

Popular television actress, Surbhi Jyoti started out in the Hindi entertainment industry with the serial, Qubool Hai, where she portrayed ‘Zoya’, opposite Karan Singh Grover’s character ‘Asad’. Since then, she has left an indelible impression on the audience’s mind with her on-screen performances. Apart from her professional feat, Surbhi has also been in the news for her alleged relationship. Earlier, there were reports claiming that the actress was going to tie the knot with her rumoured boyfriend, Sumit Suri, in March 2024.

A source reveals why Surbhi Jyoti and Sumit Suri postponed their wedding

However, Surbhi and Sumit’s wedding did not take place in the said time period. Now, a Hindustan Times report has revealed that the couple has shifted their wedding date to the second half of 2024. A source has disclosed that Surbhi and Sumit wanted to get married in March 2024 and had even started looking for a venue, but the dates weren’t available, so they decided to postpone. The source said: 

“Initially, the plan was to get married in March and Surbhi had even started looking for a venue in Rajasthan. She took many trips to Udaipur, Jaipur and Jodhpur to finalise the place. But in the end, the dates weren’t available for the booking she wanted, hence they had to postpone the dates.”

Moreover, the decision to postpone the wedding wasn’t just due to the unavailability of their desired venue; there were other important things that could not be finished on time. Hence, Surbhi and Sumit decided to choose another date instead of March 2024. Meanwhile, another insider also confirmed that the couple is surely getting married by the end of 2024. The source added:

“Surbhi’s wedding lehenga wasn’t ready, but she didn’t panic at all. She and Sumit just want to do everything in a calm and composed way, taking one step at a time. There is no rush to get married. They are looking at November and December right now. The exact date is yet to be finalised.”

Surbhi and Sumit have been taking some time off from all the wedding preparations and have jetted off to Thailand to celebrate the actress’ recent birthday. On May 30, 2024, Surbhi took to her Instagram account and shared some glimpses from her birthday celebrations. The photo that caught attention featured the actress sitting with her beau, Sumit by a poolside. The latter wrapped his hand around his ladylove as they posed for the lens.

Surbhi and Sumit have been rumoured to be dating for quite some years now. However, they have never opened up about their relationship to the public. The duo fell in love while working on the music video, Haanji The Marriage Mantra in 2018. While Sumit dismissed the rumours back then, Surbhi kept her silence on the matter.
