Shatrughan Sinha Reacts To The Alleged Family Rift With Luv Following Sonakshi And Zaheer's Wedding

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding has been a topic of discussion among the gossipmongers. Since the time rumours about their wedding began, people started throwing negative comments at the duo for interfaith marriage. It was first reported that Shatrughan Sinha had some issues with his daughter's decision to marry someone with a different religious belief. However, he dismissed the same by attending his daughter's wedding. Later, Sonakshi's brother, Luv grabbed the limelight as he didn't attend his sister's wedding and also revealed why, which hinted at their family's dispute. Now, Shatrughan reacted to the same.

As per the latest report by Zoom, Shatrughan Sinha, in an interview, stated that he had seen bigger crises and it's nothing compared to them. He also mentioned that there's nothing to worry about his family matters as it was just a normal family with a wedding happening and nothing more. Talking more about the same, Shatrughan mentioned that it was not the first time that any interfaith marriage had happened, and their family was a target of a smear campaign, which he would not tolerate anymore. Shatrughan Sinha said:

"We were like any ordinary family with a wedding happening. Just why we became a target of so much attention, you will know better than me. We didn’t ask for it. This is not the first time that such a marriage was happening. Our family was subjected to the most vicious smear campaign. Let me make this clear. I won’t tolerate my family being attacked."

When asked about Luv Sinha's objection to Sonakshi Sinha's wedding, Shatrughan Sinha said that there's no such family where there are no disagreements. He also added that they might disagree or argue on certain topics, but at the end of the day, they are family, and no one can break them. Shatrughan stated:

"Family matters should stay within the family. Like I said, kaun se parivar mein disagreements nahin hote? We may disagree and argue on certain issues. But at the end of the day we are one family. And no one can break us.”

It was only June 30, 2024, when Luv Sinha took to his X (previously Twitter) and confirmed skipping Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding. He also reacted to the online campaign against him and shared a link to the news, wherein there had been some speculations about Zaheer Iqbal's antecedents. He also added that his family had always been his first priority. Later, this statement created a controversy in the media, and then, Luv again dropped a follow-up post and mentioned that he was falsely attributed to the media, and the matter is now closed, and he won't comment on this matter.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in a civil ceremony on June 23, 2024. For the day, the actress donned her mom, Poonam Sinha's wedding sarees and jewels in ivory and golden hues. Zaheer, on the other hand, complemented his wife in a white kurta. Their wedding was followed by a star-studded reception party. For the same, Sonakshi dolled up in a red-hued Banarasi saree from Raw Mango. Zaheer donned a white sherwani with a red border on the neckline. For the afterparty, Sonakshi wore a red-hud embellished Anarkali and looked super gorgeous.
