Sharmin Segal has been dominating the headlines with her acting skills in her uncle, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The actress' performance in the series received a lot of flak, and the audience tagged it to be 'poor' and 'emotionless'. Amid this going on, Sharmin yet again brought some negative comments to herself as several of her interviews started going viral. She also even called the actors 'insecure,' and her co-star, Aditi Rao Hydari, disagreed with the same. Now, after being in the negative limelight for her statements, Sharmin shared whether she had received any help from any of her Heeramandi co-stars.

Sharmin Segal tags Jason Shah as 'helpful' after he criticised her acting skills

Recently, Sharmin Segal sat for an interview with Instant Bollywood, and she was asked to talk about the bonds that she had formed on Heeramandi. Talking more about the same, Sharmin Segal added that there had been a certain sense of camaraderie because every actor in the series had been in each other's shoes before. She added that witnessing someone help the other one to become the best version is the most beautiful thing.

Sharmin also talked about her male co-stars and stated that Jason Shah had been very helpful, while Taha Shah had been extremely sweet towards her. The actress added that every one among them was well aware of the fact that the series was actually bigger than themselves as it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's show.

Sharmin Segal shares how Aditi Rao Hydari helped her during Heeramandi

Sharmin, in the interview, added that people might think that everyone is looking out for themselves, but there had been a couple of times when her co-star, Aditi Rao Hydari, helped her during the shooting of the series. She shared that Aditi used to keep checking on her and ensure that the former was doing well. Sharmin also mentioned that Aditi used to fix her hair whenever it would come to her face before a scene. The actress added that Aditi has always been very helpful towards her.

When Sharmin Segal and Aditi Rao Hydari had a disagreement as the former called actors insecure

In an interview, Sharmin Segal stated that she thinks that actors are insecure. To this, Aditi Rao Hydari disagreed and mentioned that the actors are also human beings. Sharmin replied that she would like to leave Sonakshi out of this context as the latter is the most secure person. However, she clarified that insecurity brings out the best in the actors. To which, Aditi again disagreed and mentioned that she doesn't like insecurity as it's horrible.

When Jason Shah criticised Sharmin Segal's acting skills

Jason Shah, in an interview with Entertainment Live, shared that Sharmin could have escalated her emotions and mentioned that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had asked the actress to act from her heart rather than her head. He also added that the actress was asked to keep her it in one-tone throughout the entire series, but he feels that the character surely had a whole lot of scope to do something more innovative.
