Veteran actress, Sharmila Tagore is all set to make her OTT debut with her upcoming movie, Gulmohar. The film is directed by Rahul Chittella, and stars the Bengali beauty along with Manoj Bajpayee, Amol Palekar and a few others. For the unversed, Sharmila was last seen in the Bollywood movie, Break Ke Baad in 2010. And this film would be a break in her 11-year-long hiatus from acting. Recently, the actress opened up about her grandkids' reactions to watching her onscreen.

Sharmila Tagore is a doting grand-mum of her five adorable grandkids, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur Ali Khan, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu and Jehangir Ali Khan and glimpses of the same are often seen in various unseen pictures which makes it way on social media. For example, on March 7, 2022, Sharmila's elder daughter, Saba Pataudi had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a memorable picture of her mother with her nephew, Jehangir. In the picture, an elated Sharmila could be seen playing with her youngest grandchild, and it was simply a precious moment. Sharing the same, Saba had written:

“Bariamma....and Jeh Baba. Bonds... grandparents are special parents #myboys #grandmother #love #alwaysandforever #mondaymusings #jeh #jaan #sharmilatagore.”

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sharmila Tagore opened up about her return to the silver screen and how her grandkids would react to it. Talking about her daughter, Soha Ali Khan and son-in-law, Kunal Kemmu's daughter, Inaya Naumi Kemmu, she mentioned that the cute munchkin had already congratulated her. She talked about her son, Saif Ali Khan and his second wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan's munchkins, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. Mentioning that since watching television isn't allowed by the kids, thus she is assuming that once they would see her onscreen, it would be different. Sharmila said:

“Ohh, I got a lovely message from Inaaya already congratulating me, of course prompted by her mother. I told her the film is not out yet, and we don’t know what the audience will say. Taimur and Jeh aren’t allowed to watch films right now, but I assume it will be different when they watch me onscreen."

Further, in the same conversation, Sharmila talked about her son, Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife, Amrita Singh's kids, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. She mentioned that since the elder kids have grown up, they have no other choice but to watch her film and say good to her. Then, sharing the same, she added:

Sara Ali Khan also shares a warm bond with her dadi. A few days ago, she had taken to her IG stories and had shared a collage of two throwback pictures with her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore. In the collage, the first picture was from Sara's childhood, wherein she could be seen donning a comfy cotton dress which she had paired with two ponytails and had looked super cute. She was sitting on Sharmila's lap, who was hugging her from behind. And the following picture was from Sharmila's 76th birthday bash, where Sara was seen hugging her badi amma from behind, as they both had looked super gorgeous. Along with the collage, Sara had written a beautiful caption, which could be read as:

"From holding me to holding you. Love you Badi Amma."
