Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza were once the most loved couple in Both India and Pakistan, who shed some major couple goals whenever they were spotted in public. The couple got married, defying all odds, and even became parents to a baby boy in 2018. It all seemed to be going great until rumours of trouble in their paradise started emerging on the internet. Then, on January 20, 2024, Shoaib Malik dropped pictures of his third marriage with Pakistani actress, Sana Javed.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik hosted a reality TV series, The Mirza Malik Show, a talk show where prominent personalities used to come. The couple even used to play fun games with the guests and unwrapped juicy details of their personal lives. One such guest on the show was Pakistani cricketer, Wahab Riaz and his wife, Zainab. During a conversation with the guests, Shoaib Malik said that the lives of men start by getting scolded by their parents in the first half, and at a later stage, their wives take over and continue scolding them. In his words:

“Hum paida hote hai, humme pyaar milta hai, uske baad daant se kaam hota hai. Pehle parents se, phir biwiyon se. Aur fir who chalet e rehta hai.”

As soon as Shoaib uttered these words, Sania Mirza quickly shunned him into silence, and she pointed out that Pakistani cricketers love to discuss their wives in their free time. It is their hobby, and they all enjoy mocking their respective wives and cracking jokes on them. Wahab Riaz’s wife, Zainab too, agreed to the Tennis sensation. Sania further added:

“I want to tell everybody on the show, ki I Think Zainab will agree with me app koi bhi Pakistani cricketer ki favourite topic hai biwiyon ka Mazak udana. Uske liye app dusre show pe jaye, yeh show pe yeh nehi chalega.”

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza met in Australia, where both were facing a career crisis. While Pakistani authorities banned Shoaib from playing cricket for 12 months, Sania was facing her career’s lowest with back-to-back losses. The duo had a courtship period of five months and soon tied the knot in 2010. Their wedding was not received well by people across borders, and they were massively trolled for their union. However, the duo stuck by their decision and even welcomed their son in 2018.

Shoaib Malik first denied his marriage to first wife, Ayesha Siddiqui

When Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza’s wedding news was rife, a lady from Hyderabad, India, claimed that Shoaib Malik was already married to her. Ayesha Siddiqui, a teacher by profession, said that she tied the knot with Shoiab in 2002, but the latter denied all such claims until the lady provided video evidence of her wedding with the cricketer in court. The couple divorced in April 2010, a few days before Shoaib’s wedding to Sania.
