Samantha And Nagarjuna Used To Discuss About Chaitanya's GF, She Gave Full Information To Ex-FIL

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged on August 8, 2024. The duo's relationship buzz has been going on for several years, and it began just after Chaitanya parted ways from his first wife and actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The ex-couple's love story was a fairytale and their wedding was all things dreamy. Recently, Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna shared that he still shares the same fatherly bond with Samantha. But do you know that Nagarjuna and Samantha used to discuss Chaitanya's girlfriend? In one of her throwback interviews, Samantha talked about the same.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared that it took Naga Chaitanya a lot of time to come in the same space as hers

In an interview with MX Player's show, Famously Filmfare, Samantha poured her heart out and talked about meeting Naga Chaitanya on the film set of Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), which was the actress' first movie as the lead. Talking about her experience of working with Chay, Samantha added that she fell in love with the actor on the sets and decided to marry him. Samantha also added that Chaitanya knew that she liked him and had a crush on him.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shared that she had become dependent on Chaitanya. She added that it took the actor eight years to come in the same space as her, as she had liked him before, but he wasn't in the same place. Samantha could be quoted as saying:

"He knew I liked him. I became very dependant on him. So, it took eight years to come on the same space because I really liked him and he was not in that space. There were times when we wanted to work it out, but there were many factors. It took a long time for us to be in the same space."

Nagarjuna and Samantha used to discuss Naga Chaitanya's girlfriend

In the same interview, Samantha was asked if Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna, had any idea about the ex-couple's relationship during the shooting of the film, Manam (2014). For the unversed, the film featured Chaitanya, Samantha, and Nagarjuna. Well, in the interview, the actress was asked if she was the reason for Chaitanya and his girlfriend's breakup. Samantha replied:

"They did that to themselves. I did not even need to intervene."

Samantha was also asked about the rumour that suggested Nagarjuna knew about her and Chay's dating speculations. Replying to the same, Samantha added that she and Nagarjuna used to discuss Chaitanya's girlfriend, and she used to give the actor full information about his son. In her words:

"No no. Back then, we would discuss Chay’s girlfriend at that point in time. I would give him (Nagarjuna) full information."

Samantha Ruth Prabhu talked about her intimate wedding with Naga Chaitanya and called him perfect

Going further in the interview, Samantha was asked about her intimate wedding with Naga Chaitanya. To this, the actress said that only 120 people were invited to their wedding, and she wanted it to be low-key, as she wanted to remember every moment of the joyous ceremony.

When asked about who proposed to whom, Samantha added that Chaitanya proposed to her in December 2016, and they got engaged in January 2017. She was asked if she said yes instantly. Replying to the same, Samantha said that she did, of course, as he was the man of her dreams. She added that Chaitanya is every girl's dream, and he is just perfect.
