The Pakistani film industry is on the verge of recording one of its most unprecedented moves ever. Having enthralled audiences, including those overseas for the longest time ever, the industry is set to create a global mark with its first-ever association with the popular streaming platform, Netflix. Reportedly, some of the most talented Pakistani and South Asian actors have been roped in to star in Netflix’s first Pakistan-themed original show.

According to a latest report by the Variety, some of the popular Pakistani and South Asian actors, including Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed and Raza Mir, have been roped in to play protagonists in the multi-starrer Netflix-original show, Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo. The series is set to be an official adaptation of eminent author, Farhat Ishtiaq’s best-selling Urdu novel by the same name, which was published in 2013. For the unversed, both Mahira and Sanam have previously worked together with Fawad Khan in the film, Maula Jatt as well as the show, Humsafar. On the other hand, Raza Mir, an eminent South Asian actor has been a part of Netflix series, Resident Evil. The show is reportedly in its filming stage, and its shoots have been taking place in exotic locations of Italy, UK and Pakistan.

Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo revolves around a heart-wrenching love story

According to reports, the Netflix-original, based on the novel by Farhat Ishtiaq is set to be a heart-wrenching love story. Reportedly, the plot revolves around the male protagonist, Sikander, a talented law student from Harvard to suffer from a life-changing incident, due to which he keeps everyone at bay and stays secluded. On the other hand, the female protagonist, Liza, a talented artist bubbling with free spirit, but suffers from a troubled past. With such an intriguing storyline, the audience is surely bursting with enthusiasm to watch their favourite stars nail the roles with their acting finesse.

Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan’s reported charges for first Pakistani-Netflix original

According to an earlier report by several Pakistani sites, being two of most successful and talented actors of the Pakistani film industry, both Mahira and Fawad are charging a hefty amount for their first Netflix original show. Apparently, Fawad is charging an amount of 2 crores PKR, whereas, Mahira is charging somewhere between 3 to 5 PKR. The overall budget of the entire series is said to be a whopping 3 crores PKR.
