Pakistani actress, Syeda Madiha Imam, is a popular name in the country’s showbiz. She has cemented her name in Lollywood with her role in popular dramas such as Ishq Jalebi, Dil-E-Momin, Mera Rab Waris, Nazar Kay Samnay, Chauraha, and more. The 32-year-old actress got hitched to the love of her life, Moji Basar, who is a resident of India, earlier in 2023.

The newly married couple recently arrived in India to celebrate their union with Moji's family in the beautiful hills of the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. In an interview with Geo TV, Madiha revealed that Moji was initially a work acquaintance, but they became friends and later decided to get married. She denied rumours that her husband is a producer or filmmaker in India.

On November 26, 2023, Madiha Imam and Moji Basar held their wedding reception and celebrated by embracing the traditions of Arunachal Pradesh. The couple looked extremely beautiful on their special day, especially Madiha. The Pakistani actress stole all the limelight with her pink-hued traditional Arunachal Pradesh wear called ‘Gale’. She kept her makeup natural, and her glow from within was sufficient to make her look like a dazzling diva. Whereas the groom looked dapper in a tuxedo.

Madiha Imam took to her Instagram account to share a few glimpses from the memorable night. However, her speech from the night of the reception went viral, where she was seen appreciating the warm and welcoming nature of her in-laws. While the actress was giving the speech, Moji was teary-eyed and was very much overwhelmed throughout the duration of the whole speech. She said:

“I am not overwhelmed at all, and that is because aap log itne warm hai, itne welcoming hai. The prime example of the Basar family is this person (Moji Basar) standing here, who is overwhelmed right now. Because main sochti thi ki mujhe kis tarah k ladke se shaadi karni hai, aur main kehti thi ki mujhe aisa ladka chahiye jo jab apni behen barein mein baat karein toh uski aankhon mein nazar aaye ki woh kitni mohabbat karta hai, kitna consider karta hai, aur kitna apni maa se mohabbat karta hai, cuz you know how men are they usually don’t show that.”

Madiha Imam and Moji Basar received a warm welcome from Kiren Rijiju

Madiha Imam and Moji Basar got married in May 2023 in Dubai. The couple then held a grand reception in October 2023. And now they have come to India to celebrate their togetherness in Moji’s native place. The duo even received a warm welcome from Kiren Rijiju, who is a Member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh and is the Cabinet Minister of Earth Sciences in the Government of India since 2023. He extended his warm regards to the newlyweds and took to his official Instagram account to share a few pictures from the reception. Kiren Rijiju captioned his post as:

“Extended my best wishes to newly-wed young and beautiful couple Moji Basar and Madiha Imam at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Also congratulated Moji's parents Er. Tomo Basar & Smt Ringam Basar and the family members. Have a wonderful life @madihaimam & @Mojibasar !!”
