Mouni Roy Wears A Crimson 'Banarasi' Saree With Her Temple Choker Necklace, Gives 'Desi Bahu' Vibes

Ever since, Mouni Roy has tied the knot with her Dubai-based banker boyfriend, Suraj Nambiar, we are in awe of her looks. Be it her white and red silk saree for her Malayali wedding or her red Sabyasachi lehenga for her Bengali wedding, her white base golden lehenga for post-wedding sangeet or her jazzy green gown for her post-wedding pool party, Mouni has been perfectly balancing her modern and desi bride side.

A day after her wedding, on January 28, 2022, Mouni Roy was spotted enjoying her post-wedding pool party with her friends and family. The new bride had worn a jazzy green bralette-style crop top with a matching side-slit skirt, giving vibes of a modern bahu. She had left her hair open and had flaunted her sindoor, shankha pola (white and red bangles worn by a Bengali bride) and gold kadha (as per Malayali wedding) to add a traditional touch to her look.

On January 30, 2022, Mouni Roy had shared a series of videos and pictures on her IG stories from her griha pravesh ceremony. The actress was seen happily entering her home with Suraj as their friends had cheered for them with a dhol. Mouni had also shared a video from her ring finding rasam as she had competed with Suraj and had won the round. The newly-wedded couple had also hosted an after-party for their friends, and Mouni gave modern bride vibes as she had changed into a red short dress post the wedding rituals and had flaunted her sindoor, shankha pola and gold kadhas along with it.

A week after her wedding, Mouni Roy was spotted in the city looking ethereal in a black and pink floral suit with a short frock kurta and sharara. Her faded mehendi and sindoor had added the new bride charm to her look. However, what we had loved about her look was the way she has been paying tribute to her Bengali traditions with shankha pola and her husband, Suraj Nambiar’s Malayali traditions with gold kadhas.
