Unconventional Bride: Meet The Bearded Lady Harnaam Kaur Who Will Challenge Your Idea Of Beauty

How many times we have heard people say things like, beauty is skin deep, or beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. But most women know, how indeed true statements like these actually are! You know what, beauty is way beyond our understanding. And that is what you can learn from Harnaam Kaur.

Harnaam Kaur, who is also known as the bearded lady, has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which is a health problem in women caused due to hormonal imbalance. And for Harnaam, this problem led to growth of excessive facial hair. Harnaam started growing a beard from age 11; and since then she has not only been battling this problem, but also bullying at school. For her, things got so bad that she even harmed herself and considered suicide. But that was then, a young girl at an impressionable age. Harnaam is now “a body-confidence and anti-bullying activist and she fully embraces her unique look and hopes to encourage others to do the same.” Well, that is why; when we saw these photos of Harnaam posing as a bride we knew we had to just share them with you, because as Kahlil Gibran says, “Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.”
