While Aditya Mittal is the CEO of ArcelorMittal, Vanisha Mittal is a non-independent director of ArcelorMittal.

For the uninitiated, Lakshmi and Usha met only two times before they got engaged. It was an arranged marriage, and their respective families played Cupid in their love story. However, what's interesting is the fact that Lakshmi and Usha met only on two occasions before their engagement. Talking about their first meeting, they met in a Calcutta club over a cup of tea. At that time, Usha was pursuing an Economics degree at Banaras Hindu University. She was in Calcutta for her summer holidays, and it was when she met Lakshmi Mittal after their engagement got finalised.

After their meeting, Usha Mittal and Lakshmi Mittal interacted on phone calls until their marriage. However, it was their first phone call that convinced both of them that they had found a 'perfect partner.' Two weeks before their engagement, Usha and Lakshmi interacted on the phone, and their conversation continued for more than two hours. It was the exact moment when they fell in love with each other. Although it was an arranged marriage, their 2-hour-long phone call changed Usha and Lakshmi's courtship into a love one.

Soon after their engagement, Usha Mittal returned to Banaras to complete her degree. After that, Lakshmi Mittal penned a love letter to his then-fiancee, Usha Mittal. The businessman penned a lovely letter to Usha in which he expressed his love for her. Although the entire letter was so much special to Usha, but it was his one sentence, "Keep smiling always," that won Usha's heart. The three words touched Usha, and it was how Lakshmi Mittal won Usha's heart even before their marriage.
