Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan’s jodi caught a lot of limelight during their film, Love Aaj Kal 2’s release and promotions. While they never openly admitted their feelings for one another, their visible affection and unmissable chemistry with one another gave way to a lot of obvious hints. However, after some time, the couple broke up due to reasons best known to them. Nonetheless, even after their split, they continue to share a respectful equation with one another.

In a recent interaction with Filmygyan, Kartik Aaryan played a game where he assigned one word hashtags to few actors from the film industry. Among others, he was asked about the one phrase he would give to his ex-GF and former co-star, Sara Ali Khan. Before making his response, the actor contemplated a bit and then named ‘O Mehrama’ to the actress. For the unversed, this was the name of the popular romantic track which featured both Sara and Kartik in the film, Love Aaj Kal 2.

Kartik Aaryan reacted to Sara Ali Khan discussing their relationship publicly

Earlier, when Sara Ali Khan graced Koffee With Karan 8, she discussed about her broken relationship with Kartik Aaryan and remarked it has been difficult for her to stay friends with her ex-beau. However, later, during a conversation with Anupama Chopra, Kartik reacted to the necessity of relationship being kept private at all times. He expressed:

“Ek cheez mujhe lagti hai – relationship agar do logo ki hai toh dusre insaan ko bhi woh baatein nehi karni chahiye. Hum sab ko apni relationship ki respect karni chahiye."

When Kartik revealed that he now has time for love in his life

In another conversation on Neha Dhupia’s chat show, No Filter With Neha, Kartik Aaryan revealed that he has been away from any kind of relationship for too long now, and emphasised that he had been single all this while. However, the actor added that he now has time for love in his life and is ready to fall for someone.

Back on November 22, 2023, Kartik Aaryan turned a year older, and it was his ex-girlfriend, Sara Ali Khan, who dropped a wish for him. Taking to her IG stories, the actress shared a throwback picture of themselves, from the sets of their first film together, Love Aaj Kal 2. Along with it, she penned:

“Happiest birthday Kartik."
