Jaya Bachchan Once Said, 'She Is Not My Daughter' To Aishwarya Rai As She Talked About Her Children

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been in the headlines for quite some time now due to their familial relations. The former Miss World caught all our attention when she was spotted arriving at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding sans her in-laws and husband. She was accompanied by just her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, while Abhishek arrived separately with his parents and sister.

Jaya Bachchan refuses to acknowledge Aishwarya Rai as her daughter

In an old video, Jaya Bachchan discussed the differences between a daughter and a daughter-in-law. She elaborated that daughters or one's own children take their parents for granted and don't feel the need to respect them. But with your in-laws, you can't do that. However, as time passes, things change as daughter-in-laws adapt to the new family.

Jaya Bachchan opened up that she is very strict with her kids. When the interviewer asked if she is also strict with her daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai, the veteran actress said that Aishwarya Rai is not her daughter but her daughter-in-law, so she can't be that strict with her. Jaya added that she is sure Aishwarya's mother has been strict with her.
