Janhvi Kapoor Says Boney-Sridevi Called Her 'Thief' As She Picked A Candy From A Store And Ran Away

Janvhi Kapoor is one of the much-loved star kids in the block. The actress made her debut back in 2018 with the movie, Dhadak. Currently, she is basking in the success of her film, Mr And Mrs Mahi. Talking about her personal life, the actress has been speculated to be in a relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. The actress recently shared an anecdote from her childhood, when she had no idea about the concept of 'paying' for things.

Janhvi Kapoor shares that she often takes pillows from hotel rooms

In a recent interview with Curly Tales, Janhvi Kapoor was asked if she had picked something from the hotels where she had stayed. The actress revealed that she often takes pillows from the hotels where she stays. When asked if she takes permission for the same, Janhvi added that she takes up pillows from different hotels as she forgets to carry her own pillow, and it actually helps her when she needs to take long flights. Janhvi said:

"I have got them from different hotels. I take it every time I forget to carry a pillow from home and I am travelling or taking a long flight so that I can sleep on the flight.”

Janhvi Kapoor recalls being called a 'thief' by her parents, Boney and Sridevi

Going further in the interview, Janhvi Kapoor shared a cute anecdote from her childhood. The actress said that during that time, she had no idea about the concept of money, so once, when she went to a Disney shop with her parents, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, she just picked up a candy and ran away without paying. Janhvi said that her parents had called her a thief for the same. Janhvi can be quoted as saying:

"I was a kid, I think I was in a Disney store, there was like a candy or something. I really didn’t understand the concept of money. I picked up something and ran out and I met papa and mumma and said, ‘I got this and we didn’t have to pay for it’, they were like ‘You thief’.”

Janhvi Kapoor shared that her mom always wanted her to be a doctor and not an actress

In an interview with Karan Johar on Dharma Production's YouTube channel, Janhvi Kapoor shared that her mom, Sridevi never wanted her to be an actress. She said that her mom used to tell her that the acting world is not as glamorous as one might think it to be. Janhvi added that her mom even stated that she had worked hard so that her daughters could have an easy life. Janhvi said her mom also had a fear about the comparison that would come in Janhvi's way for being her daughter. Janhvi added that her mom would often ask her why she wouldn't be a doctor and she replied that she would play the role of a doctor in one of her movies.

Janhvi Kapoor talked about visiting the temple on her mom's birthday

In an interview, Janhvi Kapoor stated that she started taking refuge in their religion a lot more after her mom's demise. The actress revealed that she generally visits the temple on her mom's birthday, and the first time she did the same, she became extremely emotional, but a lot of mental peace came her way.
