Janhvi Kapoor recalled the time when she was doing promotions of her first film right after her mother, Sridevi's sudden demise, and a reality show's surprise left her in panic.

Janhvi Kapoor's journey into films has not been easy. While she might have gotten her first film on a silver platter, she had worked hard to excel in it. Not only this, Janhvi was hit with the biggest blow of her life, as her mother, Sridevi passed away just a couple of months before the release of her debut film, which scarred her for life. Despite going through the pain of losing her mother, Janhvi kickstarted her film's promotion, and it wasn't easy. Recalling a moment, Janhvi shared that she had a panic attack after a reality show paid homage to her mother, Sridevi.

Recently, in an interview with Mashable India, Janhvi recalled the time when she was promoting her debut film, Dhadak on a reality show. The actress shared that while shooting for the same, the show surprised her with a video of Sridevi as they paid homage to her. But it left her deeply in pain as the memories were fresh, and her team was also making sure that she didn't get reminded of her mother, but the tribute wasn't informed to them. She was quoted as saying:

"I went on a dance show and it was right after the incident. I was promoting Dhadak and everything was very fresh. My team was taking care that I don’t get reminded of my mother, but this show didn’t tell us that they were going to give a tribute to mom. So they played an audio-visual of all my mother’s songs with an emotional voiceover, and these kids started dancing to pay homage."

Janhvi added that it was a beautiful moment, but she wasn't ready for it, and the memories came flooding to her to the point she wasn't able to breathe. She started howling and ran off the stage to her vanity van, and had a panic attack. She added that people thought she never really cared about her mother. Janhvi stated:

"It was beautiful, but I wasn’t ready. I couldn’t breathe anymore. I started howling and crying. I ran off the stage and went to my van. Had a proper panic attack. They obviously cut all that out and instead put up another clip of me clapping and smiling, and people were like, ‘Does she really not care?’ But what happened was very different."

Janhvi also recalled how some people judged her after her mother's death. She recalled people calling her snooty for not talking about Sridevi in her interviews. When she was trying to be happy without giving second thoughts people claimed that she wasn't affected.

Janhvi Kapoor opened up about the biggest war of her life in an interview with Pinkvilla. The actress, who lost her mother, Sridevi in 2018, just a few months prior to the release of her debut film. Janhvi recalled her mother's demise and shared that dealing with it was quite tough. She added that finding the will to keep working during those times was super hard. She was quoted saying:

"I think definitely when I lost mom. I was shooting for Dhadak, and dealing with her loss was quite tough, and also somehow finding the will to keep working but also finding a way to deal with all of these things happening in our lives was tough. Figuring that out was definitely the biggest war in my life."

On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor is all set for the release of her film, Mr and Mrs Mahi!
