Ira Khan's Reception Lehenga Features 'Kardana' Embroidery, Took 300 Hours Of Labour And More

Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan legally registered her wedding in Mumbai on January 3, 2024, with the fitness coach, Nupur Shikhare. Afterwards, they hosted a white wedding in Udaipur on January 10, 2023. And it post returning from there, it was on January 13, 2023, when the couple hosted a grand reception for their industry friends and acquaintances in Mumbai. Glimpses of which are going viral on social media. Now, Ira's designer has opened up about the various design elements in her reception lehenga, which is simply stunning. 

Ira Khan looked beautiful in a red lehenga at her reception, which took 300 hours of labour

For her reception party, Ira Khan opted for a red-hued lehenga, which was heavily embellished with intricate gold embroidery in traditional kardana and zardozi techniques and had golden sequins all over it. She teamed her lehenga with a matching-shaded choli and a dupatta with golden borders. The three-piece outfit was designed by Monali Roy's 'Ceria Design Studio'. Recently, in an interview with News18, the designer talked about the star kid's perfect look and gave special details about her lehenga. She shared that working with Ira was 'wonderful', as she was very 'patient' and 'understanding'. However, Monali also mentioned that Ira knew what she wanted.

Ira completed her reception look with minimal accessories, including golden bangles and open wavy tresses. She opted for glam makeup and let her ensemble do all the talking. Ira's lehenga designer also shared that it took them 300 hours to make the reception lehenga, in which pure raw silk was used. Ira also had three more designs from the designer for her wedding festivities, which included her registered wedding with Nupur Shikhare, her mehendi and the sangeet ceremony. Monali said:

“Ira wanted a traditional lehenga with a more modern blouse cut. In total, it took us seven months to plan and execute it. It took more than 300 hours of hard work to prepare the lehenga."

For her registered wedding with Nupur in Mumbai on January 3, 2024, Ira opted for a custom embroidered velvet blouse with a pink-hued dhoti and matching dual dupattas. She completed her look with Kundan jewellery and glam makeup. Next, for her mehendi look, Ira wore a custom floor-length ivory threadwork and pearl embroidered dress. For the sangeet ceremony, she opted for a beautiful blue-coloured velvet lehenga with a hooded cape. Moreover, she was seen wearing a black dress for a dinner bash and a satin co-ord set for pajama party during her pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur.

Ira looked stunning in a white gown at her wedding with Nupur

Earlier, we stumbled upon some stunning pictures from Ira and Nupur's white wedding. For the wedding, Ira opted for a flowy white-hued gown which featured intricate threadwork near the bust and an illusion neckline with full sleeves. She completed her look with a gipsy tiara adorned on a French bun hairstyle. Nude makeup, including thin eyeliner strokes, smokey eyeshadow and nude lipstick, added stars to her overall look.
