Amitabh Bachchan Shares The Story Of His House And Tree Under Which Abhishek-Aishwarya Got Married

There is a reason why we human beings are attached to the 'first' things, people and experiences in our life. We tend to become overly protective of our every 'first' thing, especially the first abode which we have purchased. For better or for worse, home is the only place that gives us comfort after a struggling day at work. No matter, whether we are vacationing at the coolest place on earth or at the comfiest seven-star suite, nothing gives us more happiness than returning to our own home. And Bollywood's legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan is one of them and he feels extremely attached to his first home which he had purchased and had built in the year 1976. Amitabh Bachchan is one of those extraordinary actors, who are the pillars of Indian cinema. His contribution to the film industry is still loved and celebrated by millions and till date, he makes sure to stay relevant for the love of his fans. And he had got it all from his father, the great poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The actor had learned the art of hard work from his father and whenever he seems to get lost, he re-reads his father's words, which gives him strength.

Recently, Amitabh ji took to his blog and narrated the story of his first home, Prateeksha, which he had built and had purchased in the year 1976. He also shared that his house's name is kept on his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan's one of the poems. He shared, "The day in 1976 we moved into the first house that this generation had ever bought and built, and called its own .. it was planted as a sapling, a mere few inches in its height .. in the middle of the lawn that surrounded the property." Amitabh ji further wrote, "Babuji saw the house as we invited him and Maa ji to now live with us and named it, Prateeksha, which came from a line of one of his works, “Swagat sabke liye yaha par, nahi kisi ke liye prateeksha.” Welcome there is for all in this abode, but we are not waiting for anyone." Babuji, Maa ji .. their prayer meet on the 13th and the 12th day after the passing all within its shadow of grief .. the Holika .. the burning of the evil forces a day before the celebrations of Holi, burnt about it .. as did all the lights of Deepavali adorn its branches .. the pooja’s of Satyanarayan and the havans for peace and prosperity, within its watchful grace."

On the occasion of Guru Purnima (June 5, 2020), Amitabh ji took to his Instagram handle and posted a monochrome picture with his father. Alongside it, he wrote, "Poet Kabir says, that individual is blinded if he doth ignore or show no belief in the guru; for if the Lord be upset, then doth the Guru gives solace, but when the Guru is upset then there be no comforting solace, no other path, without the guru, there be no knowledge; without knowledge, there be no sacrament, without sacrament there be no culture; without culture, there be no conduct. without conduct there be no respect; without respect, there be no humanness; greetings on Guru Purnima. My deference on the feet of my guru." (Don't Miss: Sara Ali Khan Twinning With Her Mom, Amrita Singh In Matching Masks Is The New Lockdown Fashion)
