Known for directing series and films like Tandav and Tiger Zinda Hai, critically acclaimed director, Ali Abbas Zafar had given a sweet surprise to his fans when he had announced the news of his marriage a few days ago. Ali Abbas Zafar had gotten married to his girlfriend, Alicia, on January 4, 2020. As soon as the news had gotten out, he was flooded with loads of congratulatory wishes for starting his new life. Ali had shared a beautiful picture from their intimate wedding ceremony. The picture had featured a close-up frame of the bride and groom holding each other's hand, and the beautiful sunlight falling from the background had made it even more surreal. Along with the picture, Ali had written, "Bismillah" followed by a red heart emoticon.

Recently, Ali Abbas Zafar talked to a leading news portal about his love story. Revealing the details about the same, he said that he had met Alicia in France and had pursued her for two years before she said yes. He also said that as soon as his wife had received her visa, they had travelled to his hometown in Dehradun and had gotten married. The filmmaker quoted the reason for the same to be his busy schedule lined up for the coming year. So, he took the first opportunity to get hitched.

Ali Abbas Zafar had introduced his wife, Alicia by sharing a loved-up picture from their wedding on his IG handle. Along with the picture, he had written a heartfelt message which could be read as “1400 years ago Imam Ali said to Fatimah Al- Zahra’s, all my worries and sadness disappears when I look at your face, I feel the same Alicia Zafar. Ali had then delighted his fans by sharing a lovely family picture that had featured his father and mother. In the picture, Ali Abbas' father had looked handsome in his suit and booted avatar, while his mother had looked gorgeous in her traditional ensemble. Ali's wife, Alicia Zafar had looked like a queen in an ethnic ensemble. Together, they had made for a perfect family portrait. Along with the picture, the newly-wedded director had written, "Welcome to the Family" followed by a red heart emoticon.

For the uninitiated, Ali Abbas Zafar had studied in Delhi University and had always credited his college's dramatics society and its members for whatever he's today. Once in an interview with the Hindustan Times, the director had stated that India isn't restricted only to the place where you belong to, as there's a huge unexplored India out there, and he had realised this fact while he was studying in DU. Ali Abbas Zafar had also revealed his two favourite hangout spots in Delhi, one is chacha ke chole bhature in Kamla Nagar Market and the other is D-school canteen (Delhi School of Economics). The grounded and the street smart director is all set to make his digital directorial debut with his political drama web series, Tandav, whose trailer has released a few hours ago on the internet.
