Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is known around the world for her unmatched beauty. It won't be wrong to say that the blue-eyed lady has been ageing like a fine wine. Whether it is a social gathering, a religious outing or a wedding, Aishwarya comes, shows off her bright smile, and casts magic with her eyes. And every year, the entire world hooks onto the Cannes red carpet to get a glimpse of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, not many know that Aishwarya first walked the red carpet at Cannes two decades ago.

Nowadays, Cannes Film Festival is all about walking in the best designer outfits. However, back in those days, it was the celebrity's presence that mattered the most and not the label they were wearing. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan first walked the red carpet of Cannes in 2002, for the screening of their film, Devdas. Now, we stumbled upon some unseen pictures of Aishwarya and Shah Rukh from a press conference at Cannes.

For the press conference, Aishwarya looked stunning in a white ensemble. Her outfit featured a crop top, which she layered with a thread-work embellished jacket, and it was paired with white pants. Aishwarya kept her look minimal with a minimal diamond neckpiece and matching earrings. Subtle makeup with soft eyes, eyeliner, glossy lips and her side-parted hairstyle completed her look.  

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan looked dapper in a V-neck black-hued sweater, which he teamed with blue denim. In one of the photos, Aishwarya was seen laughing out loud as SRK held her. The pictures made fans go gaga as they went nostalgic.

As soon as the pictures were posted, Aishwarya and Shah Rukh's fans hailed the magic they had together cast at Cannes in 2002. One user loved Aishwarya's minimalistic look from the event. Another commented how Cannes is not a big deal now as everyone is going there. One user wrote, "I don't know why Aishwarya don't dress like this now." Aishwarya Rai donned a yellow-hued Neeta Lulla saree for her Cannes debut with Shah Rukh Khan

For her appearance on the red carpet of Cannes 2002, Aishwarya had ditched a dress and opted for a yellow-hued saree from the designer, Neeta Lulla. She accessorised her look with a gold neckpiece and matching jhumkis. Another highlight of Aishwarya's look was the way she showed off her desi side by donning a bindi.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan was decked up in a black suit with a bow tie. The director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali also joined them in a black sherwani. Not many know that Aishwarya had arrived on a blue chariot. In a media interaction, Aishwarya recalled her grand entry at Cannes. She shared that they had arrived on a chariot. It was the first time when an Indian film (Devdas) was premiered at the International film festival. After the premiere was over, they got a standing ovation for ten minutes.

During another press appearance at Cannes, Aishwarya kept her look minimal and opted for a sky blue-coloured suit with resham work on it. She had ditched the heavy accessories for her day look. Her look was completed with subtle makeup, eyeliner, soft blue-hued eyeshadow and her hair left open.  

On the other hand, Shah Rukh looked dapper in a black-coloured leather jacket which he teamed with a white round-neck t-shirt. His dimple smile and rosy cheeks made every girl go gaga.
