Aditi Rao Hydari has been basking in the glory of her performance as 'Bibbojaan' in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The actress swooned the audience with her grace and style in the Netflix web series. For the unversed, Aditi made her acting debut with the Malayalam film, Prajapathi, in 2006, and has been unstoppable since then. For the unversed, she had music and dance in her blood even before she was born, courtesy of her mother. 

Aditi Rao Hydari on using both her parents' surnames

In a candid conversation with Zoom, Aditi Rao Hydari talked about her decision to use both of her parents' surnames and mentioned that both her families have beautiful histories and legacies. She also said that though her parents have parted ways, she is a product of both of them, so she takes both their names. In her words:

"Apart from the fact that both families have beautiful histories and legacies, the fact that I am very multi-cultural and the fact that both sides of my family are so interesting, is the fact that I am a product of both these two wonderful people. Yes, they might not be together, but that is where I come from. So, I take both their names."

Aditi Rao Hydari believes in love despite her parents' ugly split

For those who don't know, Aditi Rao Hydari's parents, Ahsan Hydari and Vidya Rao parted ways when she was two years old. However, despite her parents' ugly split, Aditi still believes in love. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned that her mother always told her to be the best version of herself and try to give more and more love to people. She shared:

"Love in the most important thing in the whole world and to be loved, to give loved is the greatest thing ever. It's very empowering and it's beautiful. I have always been a bit of a dreamer, a bit of a gentle and sensitive kid. My mother always told me you should be the best version of yourself and always give as much love as you have in you heart."

Aditi Rao Hydari reveals her mother's influence on her life

Aditi Rao Hydari opened up about her family's legacy in arts and culture and revealed how she has been influenced by it since her birth. Aditi's mother, Vidya Rao, who is a Hindustani classical singer, influenced the actress, as the latter has been hearing music since her mother's womb. Talking about the same, Hydari shared:

"Music and dance I can't separate it from me. Before I was born, I must have heard it from my mother's womb. You keep the tanpura on the lap while doing riyaz... my mother did that when she was carrying me. The sound of the tanpura is the most natural sound to me. It's like an eternal sound that's constantly playing in my head. I don't know a life without it. I've woken up to the sound of my mother doing riyaz. I've been dancing since I was five. I've watched all kinds of dance forms. It's very natural for me and in fact, I've taken it for granted."

Aditi Rao Hydari reveals her relationship with her father

After her parents' separation, Aditi didn't spend a lot of time with her father, Ahsan Hydari. Referring to her family, the actress stated that she was surrounded by incredible people throughout her childhood and had an up-and-down relationship with her father. She concluded:

"I'm so lucky to have had these incredible people as influences in my life. I grew up with my mum's side of the family. I didn't grow up with my father but of course, I did meet him. He was a very incredible person, but I did have an up and down relationship with him."
